Market Chronicles

My mother-in-law gave us this beautiful cookbook for Christmas and I am officially obsessed. Market Chronicles by Susan Semenak is a beautiful overview of our local market, Marché Jean-Talon, and its vendors. The book is organized by season and offers simple recipes that integrate ingredients that I can pick up a few blocks from my home. The features about each of the local vendors are really informative and truly eye-opening. There are some truly devoted and hard-working folks running that market and I am excited to go meet more of them next time I stop by. The book is now available in all Montreal bookstores and I can't recommend it enough!
