Do you remember these pics of my friends Anile and Christian's INCREDIBLE kitchen reno? Well hold on to your hats design lovers because these two reno masters have done it again! I was at Anile's house this weekend and I actually lost my ability to speak when I walked into her newly renovated bathroom. They transformed a dark and dingy space into a light-filled master bath complete with antique vanity, stand-alone tub and a shower that would rival those found in any upscale New York hotel.

AFTER
The chandelier was a great find! They added the crystals by hand and now it's as good as new. The shelves were custom built from old barn wood. And the vanity was another antique store find. It already had a marble top so they saved a ton! Check out the sky light overhead!

My jaw dropped when I scrolled down to the 'after'. AMAZING! This seriously is my dream bathroom.
WOW!!!!
This is amazing!
Small questions...do they do the design themselves or did they get someone to help them with the design? We are looking for an architect/designer to help us with the layout of our soon to be new place..and I dont even know where to start. It would have to be someone who has experience renovation 100 year old Georgian, Any suggestion?
What an amazing transformation!
LOVE IT!!! wow. just perfect.
OMG. Did they do it themselves? Is it indiscrete to ask for an approximate cost? Is it in a detached home or condo? If condo, any concerns with shared plumbing? Thanks.
GASP! How did they DO that? So much imagination and talent, I love it.
absolutely stunning! I honestly can't get over how gorgeous it is! love, love, love!
Oh my GOSH this is unbelievable - I was not expecting that gasp-worthy After photo!!

That is SO gorgeous!! I hope that you post more details :-) i.e. design/where the tub is from/etc.
Love it!
Wow!! That is so amazingly beautiful!!!! Thanks for the pics.
I want to spend the weekend in their bathroom!
Wow I am so humbled by all your kind comments!! Thank-you so much! And a big thanks to Marie-Eve, we are so honoured to be featured on Lake Jane :) Here are a few more details to share: We hired tradespeople to help us execute the work, but we designed the space ourselves. This room is mostly a collection of items from Ciot and Restoration Hardware, all bought during sales (with some vintage and salvaged items thrown in to warm it up and add a nice balance). We live in an upper duplex and we had to fully gut and replace everything - nothing was to code, and everything was a mess. This added to our cost so anyone who is considering renos like this needs to consult several contractors and get as many different opinions and estimates as they can. Expect obstacles along the way, and prepare yourselves for delays and added costs. When it's all done, you can enjoy your hard work for years to come :)
Um, HELLO dream bathroom! This project should win an award!! How amazing and I totally want to buy a house now just to make a bathroom like that.
Oh my goodness, that is the most amazing bathroom i have ever seen.
I think that i even want to move in there, i could sleep in the bath!
This is EXACTLY the kind of bathroom I would want in my home. Absolutely stunning. Love the mix of crisp white and natural wood. And the tiles - oh the tiles! what a dream.
And I'm so impressed that the homeowners designed it all.
Anile you rock!
I truly believe your bathroom deserves an article in a magazine! Are you planning on becoming a reno consultant here in MTL? Let's say that once I'll find my dream house I will call you for bathroom suggestions :)
Again, the result is stunning, congrats to the project manager(s).
Two thumbs up! Tout est parfait. Bravo!
Oh my goodness, this remodel is fantastic! What a gorgeous space now with such attention to detail...I absolutely love the rustic wood shelves and vanity!
I had to come back and see it again. The skylight is the TOPS. amazing amazing bathroom!
OMG! I just found this post by clicking through from Lovely Clusters. That is an INCREDIBLE transformation, and an absolutely stunning bathroom. Just WOW....
Thanks for sharing. Your choice of bathroom accessories is of course a personal one. You have to blend functional items with decorative ones. No one wants a boring bathroom, but then no one wants one they can't find the soap in either.
