Walk through closet

Why should a closet be confined to 4 walls? Why can't it have 2 doors? Remember Carrie Bradshaw's closet (below)? It's more of a gateway between the makeup station (aka bathroom) and the bedroom and I think that, ergonomically speaking, it just makes more sense.

Look at this beauty of a closet belonging to stylist Sabrina Linn. Like CB, it's a pass-through between her bathroom and bedroom and every square inch of wall is used for storing fashion. This one is going straight into the inspiration folder. (via Suzanne Dimma's blog on HouseandHome.com)

My wardrobe connects my bedroom and en suite! I had never thought about it like that before.

Girl. You are so right. A walk-through closet totally trumps a walk-in closet.

Absolute agreement, when the time comes for me to shape my own space... the walk through will be at the top of the priorities list!

I really love this idea!! I'm trying to think of how I can incorporate that in my own room...
