The first storm
For those of you who live in warmer climates (ie. outside of Canada), I want to share one of the many harsh winter realities we have to face. Don't get me wrong, I am beyond proud and happy to live in the Great White North but I absolutely dread the first big storm. It signals the beginning of very cold, dark months. Sure, the snow is absolutely beautiful but it's novelty is short lived. I must admit that I get this child-like pang of excitement in the pit of my stomach when I hear the news reporters warning of a huge storm coming but that too is short lived, especially when I have to treck to the grocery store in weather that would cause most Europeans cities to shut down. I just went to check the national weather website and the big red bar is back. A storm is a comin'!

I know the pang in the pit of your stomach, have felt it many times and now miss those big snowfalls that all too soon turn into grey slush. The most snow I can hope for this season in Vienna is a measly couple of centimeters... enjoy it while you still can ;)
Love your blog and can't wait to see the stuff you post during your travels! I read it every day. I have to say though, I hope you move away from the wedding related content - I think the wedding thing has been way too overdone in general. (Not by you specifically.)
i'm dreading the first snow too.
it's going to be insane.
I get a child like pang of dread. Ugh.
