Somebody pinch me

Although tickets shave been purchased and (some) reservations made, I still feel like this trip is just too good to be true; like I won't believe it's actually happening until we're sitting on that plane, crossing an ocean. One of the most surreal experiences I've had so far has been trying to choose a villa to rent in the south of Spain. Even typing that last line was surreal. My friends Rhoo from London and Gen from Ottawa will be meeting Mike and I in Gibraltar of all places then heading to a lovely little Moorish village in Andalucia. We are spending 7 nights in this old townhouse.

I gotta tell ya, picking a villa is not easy (I say this with an air of sarcasm), especially when they're all gorgeous and very affordable in the off season. We found ourselves debating things like pool sizes or the number of terraces - luckily, we realized that we sounded like divas and picked the one that was centrally located and well-reviewed. They have an internet connection so I'll be sure to take you all on a video tour of the place the minute we arrive!

We found this villa on http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/

I could browse villa options on there for hours on end!
