out with the old
I don't know what came over me on Sunday but I decided that it was time to purge the contents of my closet and dresser. Part of this has to do with the fact that we have to pack up most of our place to make room for the sub-letter who's moving in while we're traveling. The other part of me just felt like I was hanging on to too much stuff. I tend to hang on to bags, shoes and clothing for years. I tell myself I'm bound to find an occasion to wear them although I tend to rotate a dozen pieces for a few months then move on to something new. Well no more! I got rid of a mountain of stuff and it feels awesome. Not only do I have tons of room in my closet now but, more importantly, all this stuff is going to Good Will and hopefully in the hands of people who will actually wear the stuff.

I did this right before my move across the country. I had so much clothes! My closet, a wardrobe in the basement, boxes in the basement. I kept only what I knew I'd wear and the rest (a whole lot of clothes) went right to Good Will. It was a really great feeling to clean out so much.
I couldn't agree more Brandi!
This is one of my favorite things to do! Plus it makes room for new stuff...!
