Although it's great to be in Europe in winter because it means fewer tourists and better deals, Mike and I are slightly limited in terms of warm weather destinations. Don't get me wrong, anything above zero is nearly tropical compared to Canadian winter temperatures but I don't think my skin will get much sun while we travel. I guess the warmest destination on our itinerary is Morocco. I'm the most excited about this part of our adventure by far mostly because it really takes me out of my comfort zone - specifically the 3 day desert trek we've booked. We're going to be sleeping in nomad tents, riding on camels and exploring the desert. I am a little terrified and have no idea what to expect but that's kind of the whole idea I suppose.
Have you ever been to Morocco or done a desert trek? What was the most adventurous thing you've ever done on vacation?

trapeze school in NYC... down the block and around the corner from my comfort zone. but in the end, i was super proud of myself for conquering my fear!
I would suggest to invest in tecky clothing, because of the temperatures changes.
Morocco is one of the best places I have ever been, especially the desert (if it's not a landscape you've seen much before, it will blow your mind). My advice is to up your tea tolerance, because I have never drunk so much tea (and then laid awake at night with caffeine shakes!) in my life. :) And leave room in your bags to bring home beaaaaaautiful silver.
I remeber going to Morocco when I was 16. We all made mini dresses with huge hems so that when we arrived in Morocco we could let the hem down and our legs would be covered!!
