I am a huge Jack Nicholson fan. I just about love everything the man does. I am particularly fond of
Something's Gotta Give. This post is not about the movie but rather the Hamptons Beach house that Diane Keaton's character lives in. For some reason, I am obsessed with it despite the fact that a)it's much more traditional than my usual taste and, b) it's a movie set and therefore not a real house. I would like to share with you the little details that really struck me when I first saw it on the big screen.

That carpet is just too good. I still fantasize about it.

These dark wicker chairs

The kitchen island is the size of my apartment

Not a fan of this dining room, again too traditional for my taste, but the built in shelves with the display of white plates is absolutely lovely.

I am sucker for cedar shingles...add to that large white frames and a pool and I'm done for.

I know I know I know. I was obsessed with this house when the movie came out. I think that's why I saw it three times. The same people are making 'Its Complicated' (with Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin!!)...I hope the sets are as gorgeous!
Love this home and movie.
Great post!! This movie's set inspired me to be a designer b/c I love the feeling of this house
i agree! everytime i see this movie all i can think about is how spectacular the house is :)
Couldn't agree more! I've had pictures of that house saved for awhile...I would move in there in a hot second!
