They're taunting me...

I was finally coming to terms with the fact that peonies aren’t in season in August and then I came across these gorgeous pictures on Ritzy Bee...I’m sulking again.

I feel your pain! No peonies in October. They do have big, fat english roses though and I must say they are pretty similar. Have you looked into those?

I'm sneaking a few silk peonies into my arrangements since I don't want to even begin to deal with the headache of real ones. I have a fake peony that I turned into a pin for my dress and it's quite lovely. Unless people have got their faces in the bouquets I doubt they'll know the difference.

Thanks for the advice and sympathy ladies! I've already committed to freesia and hydrangeas. It's not the same but it's still pretty sweet!

I also feel your pain. My florist was able to sneak in 2 fat peonies in my bouquet on July 11, so I was a bit mollified, but oh how I wish I could have had peonies everywhere. If I'd planned better, I would have picked an earlier wedding date, just so I could have peonies.
