Buk & Nola

Julie is a good friend of mine who also happens to be one of Mike's work colleagues. She is also a Lake Jane follower and the girl knows my taste. So I knew that when she gave Mike a business card for a new boutique in MTL, it had to be good. And man oh man was it ever good.

Julie and I stopped into Buk & Nola last night and I was instantly smitten. The small boutique opened 4 months ago on Montreal's Plateau. This store took my breath away. I'm telling you, if I'd had my toothbrush with me, I would have moved in right then and there.


Owners Caroline and Laurence named the store to represent both a feminine soft side and a more masculine quirky side. And it really makes sense because the store combines fun accessories with beautiful timeless pieces. It's the kind of place that will inspire and enchant you because so much attention has been paid to every little detail. Can you tell I'm a fan?

There are tons of beautiful restored vintage and mirrors for sale in the store. Caroline and Laurence (with the help of friends) find these gems in yard sales and consignment shops and refinish them to perfection.
