At Home With: Davina and Daniel, Part 1

You may have figured out by now that I'm a huge fan of At First Sight Studio! Mike and I have booked them for our wedding and I've mentioned their work on this blog several times.

Davina and Daniel, the super talented couple behind At First Sight (below), recently moved into their new condo which also doubles as studio headquarters. I knew I would have to feature their home/office on this blog the moment I set foot into it. I will let Davina describe the space...

"We’ve lived here since last August. We bought the condo together and moved in from our respective places. Although we’ve been here for 7 months, we’re still constantly working on it! It always feels like a work in progress! The condo was build around our specifications and choices so I feel like the whole thing - down to the tiles we upgraded as our backsplash, to the upstairs mezzanine – reflect us."

"The office was a must when we were condo-shopping. We meet dozens of clients a week and work out of our home about 90% of the time so it had to be just right. We introduced the Tiffany-blue wall to reflect one of our company colors, something we were hesitant to do anywhere else in the house. We also covered the wall in front of the couch where clients sit with a variety of different frames with some of our favorite wedding portfolio pictures. "

"We just added those purple lights in the living room - that was Daniel’s idea and I was very doubtful, but they worked out pretty good in the end!"

"We are modern, with a touch of vintage. Daniel shoots for a lot of designers and décor magazines so he’s seen a lot of sleek designs which he loves. I too love this style, but I’m also a thrift-store, garbage-treasure-hunter so I love a good art-deco or vintage find."

More details of this spectacular condo to come....

AMAZING!! (and I speak from personal experience when I say, it's that beautiful in person as well ;)

Everyone should be as lucky as me and LakeJane to have At First Sight shoot their wedding. Amazingly gifted photographers!

I wouldn't mind waking up tomorrow morning and, after a few moments of extreme disorientation, realizing that I live in this beautiful condo.

Seriously, although I don't know how practical this space would be considering my profession, I love it and I'd much rather be there than here (not to mention own such beautiful furniture)!
