It's In The Bag: Marianne

Let's see what Marianne has in her purse...

She writes: "This is my most recent M0851 purchase, the hobo in dark brown. It's a beautiful bag and the colour is going to look even better as it ages. I adore giant bags but I always end up filling them up with a bunch of useless stuff. This is the sanitized version of the things most likely to be found in a bag of mine on any given day:
  • I almost always carry a book. Usually one that I love and that I've read plenty of times so I can just crack it open during my bus ride (or use it as a decoy if some crazy person/bizarre boy tries to talk to me) and I know exactly what part I am at. In this case, it's Alexandre Dumas' Reine Margot which I have read so many times, I have two copies; one in good shape that I keep at home and another busted up version with no cover that I can just throw in my bag.
  • I have very difficult hair so I most always have some sort of Frizz Ease product on my person. This one is absolutely wonderful at taming my hair when the humidity wants to turn it into an afro.
  • I usually don't like very thick glass like lipgloss but Lancome's Juicy Tubes are great. Just the right amount of shimmer and just thick enough so it stays on.
  • Since moving back to Ottawa, I find that I often don't come back home after work before going out so I don't have time to change from work-wear to out-wear. The great things about big bags is that you can throw in a pair of shoes and sparkly pink high heels can dress up even the most boring outfit.
  • For the same purpose, I keep a hand mirror, a beautiful "nacré" (dont know that word in english) from Korea, and some eyeliner and mascara.

So that's it! Generally, because I hang out with so many girls, if I forget something essential - like lip balm or a nail file - chances are, somebody will have one in their purse!"

Thanks Marianne!
