Give me 3 hours...

I was so inspired after completing the 2008 Design & Decorating Alphabet that I headed off to the Hardware store, bought some paint and transformed our teeny tiny kitchen with the help of some bold blue-grey stripes.

Boring white...and messy.

We were reluctant to invest money into changing the kitchen because we rent and aren't planning on staying here very long. This was a quick and inexpensive project that made a huge difference!

I framed pages from a Mollie Katzen recipe book. I just love her little illustrations.

It took some convincing but Mike accepted once I told him that it would take no more than 3 hours (two and a half actually), cost less than 40$ (it cost me 30$) and that he wouldn't have to lift a finger (he didn't).
